Web Fonts!

{by Liz} - February 8, 2012

When designing a website, I usually have a hard time treading the line between what the site should ideally look like, and how the site will ultimately function. Fonts have always been a part of that issue, and in the past, I will just settle and design any live text using one of the few “universal” fonts such as Arial.

Recently, I decided to search “Web Fonts” online. I know I’m late to this party, but Google Web Fonts was the first thing to pop up. Google has hundreds of FREE fonts that can be used on the web! This means that Google hosts the web font and through html, you can tell your website to use that specific font. This opens the door to less generic-looking type, and more continuity between a brand’s print & online presence!

I’m looking forward to playing around with this newly discovered tool!
