the challenge:
In an effort to replace their dated product lines for women and children, M&M Products developed two new lines featuring the benefits of natural ingredients. Packaging for this target audience, African American women between 21 and 49 years of age, is extremely important and it needed to jump off the shelf and speak to this audence. The challenge was how to achieve this with dozens of competitors around you trying to catch the same audience’s attention.
our solution:
We developed engaging branding guidelines highlighting the natural ingredients that helped the products occupy their unique offering. These design standards started with the packaging and carried on over into all of the printed marketing efforts and online pieces which we created for them.
results:
Due to the immediate success in smaller beauty supply shops, Walmart picked up both product lines. This was the first time an M&M adult women’s product had ever been selected for their shelves.
